EVERYONE NEEDS - A Circus Skirt
Today I announced the arrived of spring by wearing a modern take on Joseph’s technicolour dreamcoat, and man did it make me smile. Hands in pockets, I swished around from side to side in my new Kemi Telford Circus print midi skirt, and marvelled at the weight of it when the windy weather tried (and failed) to flip it skywards. The pattern is a printed eye-popping kaleidoscope, that cleverly incorporates black, navy and a denim blue amongst the super bright highlights. It really does go with everything. I wore it with a pink silk T from Jigsaw and my new indigo mac, but in the summer it will be great with a cami and denim jacket.
The quality of the make is brilliant. The elastic at the waist is deep enough so that it doesn’t dig in, and has been constructed in such a way that it doesn’t roll over and get twisted. The belt loops and detachable self print belt are a great touch too. The skirt is super full and incorporates 8 panels. I’m still amazed that this skirt cost only £40, I would have paid double. The fabric is 100% African cotton, with a wax finish. I’m determined to keep it as bright as it is now, so I’ll be keeping it out of the sun and won’t be putting it in the washing machine.
I’m a size 14 generally, probably bigger than that on the waist, and this one size fits all was great. I’m guessing you’d be comfortable in it up to about a size 18, but I’d say just check the given waist measurements on the website before ordering. And talking of that, be fast and order soon as when the fabric has gone it’s gone!
