A postcard from London Fashion Week - with Jigsaw

Those who follow me on Instagram will know that I spend most of my time at my easel, wearing an apron and dipping my paintbrush into my tea by accident. But this week I was invited to see the A by Jigsaw presentation in London, and thought it was about time I headed to the big smoke.

The presentation was held in the Jigsaw store within St James's Emporium and was given a spectacular makeover for the show. Giant spheres were covered in key prints from the collection and a huge LFW banner covered an entire window.

I sketched the queue of people waiting for the show to open.....

As the space filled with editors, influencers and bloggers, the models descended the stairs in the new A collection (available now, here) and I sketched what I saw before me. I even managed to get caught on camera myself!

The prints in the collection were inspired by 60's psychedelia, and were a joy to capture, as were the intense blues and greens and details such as the hair ribbons.

It was so great to see the new collection and catch up with industry friends. I love to keep in touch with people via Instagram and Twitter, but there's nothing quite like going for a cuppa with some of your favourite folk. So thank you to Lou and the Jigsaw team for encouraging me to put on my gorgeous sugar pink coat (a very generous gift), pack a sketchbook and head to our capital. A gorgeous day!
